• A lot of people love to make comments on our society. Journalists, columnists, writers, songwriters, comedians and filmers they all have their own creative outlet for this.
But do their messages really get to us, and if so, what do we do with it?
Changing the world is not an easy piece.
It can be scary to see how little has really changed in the course of time.
At the end of the 18th century Jean Paul Marat wrote things that are still alive for a full 100%.
Read his pamphlet and shiver.
• Do you have time? Can you have time? Can you take time to have a look here ? Do so and be more aware of here and now. Be encouraged to revise the way you deal with time.
Since living in Portugal, having more time than money to spend, we have become more aware of the fact that money and time are almost used as synonyms, but they are definitely not.
If you work (more than) 40 hours per week, you hardly have time to go and look for a bargain. You might not even have time to take care of your tools or car. It might even get to the point that you hardly take time to take good care of yourself. You might earn enough money, but in this way the costs you have for health and living are also higher.
And what if you would decide to work less, to start the day on an easy pace, not overburdening yourself but spending more time on the people and the things around you? Fat chance you will gain more things at once: less stress, more rest, healthier, fitter, with a better mood, a better car and better tools that last longer.
A while ago a nice story was spread around in Cyber-space, a story about a Mexican Fisher who meets an American Businessman. The story points out very well how the hunt for money spoil away a lifetime.

• "Peak Oil" is a term used to indicate that the extraction of oil from the earth almost has reached its maximum and from that moment on will decline.
How will the future look like without cheap or even any oil? There are different scenarios for this.
Our story on Peak Oil is still in Dutch
only,
but the Links on Peakoil are mostly in English
. Have a look and surf on.
• Everybody embodies good ánd bad, sweet ánd naughty, virtue ánd vice. But what is mostly present? Are you good or no good?
In the past the virtues were discussed in church and Bible. Nowadays it are the sociologists, therapists, team-coaches and reorganisers that in their practise discuss and investigate the human virtues frequently. Lucky enough also the Internet offers comfort to those who suffer from their home-questions.
Have you heard about it?
• Small communities are the ideal breeding ground for small talk and gossip: a frequent vice. Gossip often says more about the person who backbites than about the person about whom is backbitten. Eager to know more? Our Gossip page is still in Dutch
,
but Tom Waits' songtekst "What´s he building"
is a perfect illustration of the item in English.
